Canada's La Roux?
The Killers fronted by Gwen Stefani?
Hell. Both sound like they would sound good.
Dragonette is a Canadian electro-pop band who have been active since 2005. The band was started as a smaller project, The Fuzz. The band relocated to London to record their debut album, Galore. Galore was extremely praised by critics. The band has even been nominated for the prestigious, Canadia, Juno Award. Dragonette has supported bands like New Order, Basement Jaxx, and Sugababes, as well as headlined tours in the U.S and U.K. Dragonette's second album, Fixin to Thrill, was released in 2009.

Dragonette, as stated earlier, is like Gwen Stefani fronting the Killers.
That is more or less what Dragonette sounds like.
Dragonette's lead vocalist, Martina Sorbara, has a sometimes shrill, sometimes beastly range. She really adds to the mood of each of the songs. She goes from the high and almost shrill cries in a high-tempo song, to a slower, more mellower tone in the slower songs.
One word that could be used to describe this band?
Stylish. Dragonette has a very stylish and fashionable feel to them. The whole concept of "stylish music" is hard to explain, but when you listen to them, you will understand what I mean.
So basically when you listen to Dragonette you will...
1) Get REALLY stuck on some of the catchy guitar/synth hooks.
2) Feel super stylish.
3) Get lost in the lyrics, and how relatable and well thought out some of them are.
4) Fall in love with the band.
I REALLY like this band.
Check them out!
If you are a fan of...
Check out their songs...

Remix Of The Day
Bjork- Earth Intruders (Lexx remix)
Bjork is one of the fundamental contributors to electronic music in history. She has, in many respects, paved the way for many artists. This remix of her original song, Earth Intruders, which is also quite good, is hands down the best of all the Bjork remixes that I have heard. This song has an eerie dance vibe, with the same ineffably deep emotion that Bjork always have. An excellent mix.
So first things first.
I've caught word that Little Boots' critically acclaimed debut album will be dropping in the states sometime in 2010.

Lady Gaga's new video for "Bad Romance?"

She is so crazy. BUT IN THE MOST AWESOME WAY POSSIBLE.
The video is so strangely fascinating, I really like it.
Also, some of the clothes and installations in the video, are made (or inspired by) by Alexander-Freaking-Mcqueen. *Gasp*
(Oh and by the way. The pair of glasses she is wearing in that still and in the video, are made of RAZORBLADES.)
I bought DJ Hero!

It is kind of amazingly fun and addictive.
Not to mention most of the songs are pretty awesome on their own.
That is all for now.
